George Seymour 1921 - 11/7/2014
I am really sad to inform you all that sadly George passed away last night at around 9pm. Chris, Marj, Alan and Spike had been keeping regular contact with George and reported to me that he has been ill and in hospital recently but never lost his witty spark or ability to make them laugh. Chris said that their last visit was Saturday and he was very tired and knew the end was near but still managed to give Chris, Spike, Marj some lasting memories. His ever present good humour and wealth of knowledge will be missed by all who knew him.

Lindsay G. Collins 23/09/1926 - 24/12/2012
It is with great sadness that I have to report the passing of Lindsay G. Collins just before Christmas. He will be missed by all his extended family and friends.
Not only was Lindsay the original driving force behind the Thousandmiler but as time and planning went on he kept my enthusiasm for the project going with his poems, yarns and and advice.
Lindsay lived a full life as a Drover, Cabinet Maker, Author of many books, A walking talking Encyclopaedia of horse lore and military detail related to horses, a Yarn Spinner, A Poet, In the Air Force during WW2, and always a Horseman, willing to share his knowledge, give practical advice and help to get people, both adults and particularly kids into horse riding.
